Sketches from a
            Meherabad
            Diary

This is a series of paintings and drawings done
by Australian Baba-lover Philippa Howells, on a visit to
            India in 1996-1997.
  This first water-color is called
            "Krishna".

"Whilst in India I had been looking at a number of reproductions of Indian miniature paintings and felt an inner prompting to do a small painting in the style of an Indian miniature of Baba as Krishna. Not having ever painted in this style before, I also felt a strong resistance to actually 'having a go', but felt that I must do it anyway (Baba's orders!). At this time we were staying five mattresses on the floor to a room at Amartithi quarters (actually the isolation ward of the hospital), so this little painting was done whilst sitting cross-legged on the mattress on the floor."
