"I liked to go and spend mornings sitting on the verandah with Mohammed. I sometimes felt a special kind of connection would happen when I was drawing Mohammed, as drawing takes me out of my normal 'ego' state. I felt that Mohammed was aware of this. I liked to catch the moments when he glances at you before he looks quickly away. I showed him one of the drawings and he seemed intrigued by it, staring at it for quite a time."
